The Royal Canadian Mint is proud to celebrate the centennial of the Canadian Arctic Expedition of 1913 with a commemorative coins; $100 Canadian Arctic Expedition Gold Coin. The coin has been released by Ian E. Bennett, President and CEO of the Royal Canadian Mint.
The coin reverse was designed by Canadian artist Bonnie Ross and depicts several key images representative of the Canadian Arctic Expedition, including a survey team atop an ice floe taking research measurements and, in the background, a stylized globe of the Canadian Arctic. Read More.
